Jack the Ripper

Our presentation goes about JACK THE RIPPER we’re going to talk about a several topics. We’ll start with the first one.

Who was Jack the Ripper:

Jack the Ripper was a serial killer who murdered the most people in the neighbourhood Whitechapel in London. He murdered from about 1888 until about 1891. But the investigators of the police thought he also killed people all around the world. This is because when he killed a victim he ruined them face in a very specific way. In the carabics there were killed a few people in the same way. At this point the police thinks he was a sailor because he killed more people all around the world.
And there was no other way to travel to other continents.

The victims:

There where a minimum of 18 victims, but the police thought there where more victims that where never found. The victims where most of the time woman, Why he killed more woman than man is not known. This are some pictures of the victims. Jack ruined there faces and cut in there body’s and take some of the organs, especially the kidneys and uterus. We show some of the crime scenes

The Jack the Ripper letters.

- By every victim they found a letter. One of the most known letters is the “Dear Boss letter” Ron will read it in dutch now....

Ik blijf steeds maar horen dat de politie mij bijna te pakken heeft, maar zo makkelijk krijgen jullie me niet. Ik bleef lachen toen jullie zo slim aan het doen waren en aan het praten waren over dat jullie op het goede spoor zaten. De grap over het leren schort gaf me nog meer goede hoop. Ik ben afgestapt van de hoeren en hen te verminken. Het was goed werk hé mijn laatste moord ik heb de vrouw geen kans gegeven om te gillen zo goed was ik. Ik houd van mijn werk en ik begin weer opnieuw. Je zult snel weer van mij horen met mijn spelletjes. Ik heb wat schoon rood bloed bewaart in een bierfles om het later te gebruiken als inkt maar het werd zo dik als lijm, zodat ik er niet meer mee kon schrijven. Rode inkt is namelijk gepast bij mijn daden haha. Bij mijn volgende moord zal ik een oor afsnijden van de vrouw die ik vermoordt en die zal ik naar jullie opsturen alleen voor de lol meer niet. Bewaar deze brief tot mijn volgende daad en zet hem dan in de krant. Dit zal niet lang meer duren want mijn mes is scherp en puntig. Als ik de kans krijg ga ik gelijk weer aan het werk. Tot ziens!

Some other letters are:

- The "Saucy Jacky" Postcard it was written at the 1e october 1888, he wrote it with blood from his last victim. In this letter stood that he will cut the ears from his victims.
What he promise them in the last letter (the big boss letter)

- 'From Hell' letter it was written at the 16e of October 1888, the head officer of whitechappel police. He got a package in his mailbox with the size 8 by 8 by 8cm. The package was filled with a kidney from a human he killed. The kidney was full with wine to conserve it. The police investigated it. And it was from his last victim Catherine Eddowes. In the letter he said that he fried the other kidney and he ate it.

- This was his last letter, but it wasn’t a real letter but a poem. This is it:
Eight little whores, with no hope of heaven,
Gladstone may save one, then there'll be seven.
Seven little whores beggin for a shilling,
One stays in Henage Court, then there's a killing.
Six little whores, glad to be alive,
One sidles up to Jack, then there are five.
Four and whore rhyme aright,
So do three and me,
I'll set the town alight
Ere there are two.
Two little whores, shivering with fright,
Seek a cosy doorway in the middle of the night.
Jack's knife flashes, then there's but one,
And the last one's the ripest for Jack's idea of fun
Other things:

- More than 40 police officers worked on this case. This are some of them.....
- There where more than 30 suspects. 1 of the famous suspects was prince Abert Victor Christian Edward. He was the son of queen Victoria. He was the main suspect. But we found a list, with the top 25 of the most popular suspects. And there he is standing on place 19. this is the top 5.
