Summary

The wind in the willows is about Mole, he is a mole who looks for adventure.

He is going outside and he’s going to walk. At the river he meets Rat. They are going to adventure. They meet Otter and become good friends. They meet Mister Toad and Mole asks were he lives. They are going to his home. Toad has a beautiful horse and coach. They are going to take a ride. But the horse runs away so they have to go with the care.

Mole wanted to make the acquaintance with Badger for a long time, so he’s looking for him. But he must go to the Wild Wood and that’s a dangerous place. So he los his way and Rat wondered were he was, so he starts looking for him. He found Mole and they must go to sleep so they go to Badger. Mole meets Badger and he’s a very nice man. It’s Christmas and very pleasant. Otter lost his way too and comes to Badger. The next day they go on. On their way Mole finds his old home back and they stay there. The next day they are going to Toad because he’s very ill. They will take care of him, but he don’t want that, so he slips away. He is going to the town and there he stole a car. He must 20 years in the dungeon. There he meats a girl who likes him, so she sets him free. He is going back to his house. And they live happily ever after.

Describe a character

Toad: Is a frog that lives in Toad Hall near the river. He can be really silly and stupid and he always wants to be right. He never listens to his friends.

Personally I do not really like Toad because he is stubborn, but he can be really cute and funny mainly if he trashes a car or something else again.

My opinion

I liked this book very well. But it is book for little children and not for teenagers. There are not many difficult words. So it is a easy text. Maybe the text must be more difficult.
