SAMENVATTING
In Dort, a little place in the netherlands lived two tulip-growers. Cornelius and Isaac. They both tried to make a black tulip, but it never succeed. Cornelius had 3 bulbs, out of these bulbs had to become a black tulip, but then he got arrested because he was in possession of some letters (de Witte gave it to him) who where for the French king and what belongs to the government. Cornelius went to jail, and took the 3 bulbs with him. He met Rosa over there. She was the daughter of the prison-keeper. They saw eachother often, and he told her everything about tulips. But after a few days Cornelius had to be killed. Later when the time was there, there came a letter from the prince of the netherlands, that they didnt have to kill him anymore, but he had to stay in prison for a lifetime. They had to transfer him to Loevenstein, that means that he would’nt see Rosa anymore. So, he learnt Rosa to write and to read, so they could still keep in touch with eachother. before they transfer him, he gave Rosa the 3 bulbs and he said to her that she first had to marry the love of her life and be happy, after that she would get the money. Then he had to go to Loevenstein. After a while, Rosa came to Loevenstein. She went to the prince of the netherlands and asked him if her dad could be a prison-keeper in Loevestein. The prince agreed with her, and Rosa and Cornelius saw eachother more often. Later they shared the bulbs, one for at Rosa’s home, one for at the prison’s garden. And one for at Cornelius prison cell. After a few days Rosa finds out that there is a man hunting at these bulbs. After that Rosa left the bulb at home instead of putting it in the garden. The tulip that Cornelius had in his prison cell, was discoverd by Rosa’s dad, the prison-keeper. He smashed the bulb at the ground and broke it. There were only two bulbs left. After a while the other two bulbs came out. They where black. Rosa wrote a letter to the flower organisation. The director wants to come, she finds out that somebody stole her tulip. Rosa goes immediatly to the director, and tells him the whole story what happened. A coupple hours ago Cornelius neighbour went by. At first the director believes the man, later he starts to believe Rosa. On the tulip-party in Den Haag, they reveal who’s tulip was the best tulip. Rosa won the prize. And Cornelius was on the party too. Another prison-keeper brought him over there. But Rosa would only get the money when she married the love of her life. And so she did. They release Cornelius, and he married Rosa. They lived long and happy for the rest of their lifes...
