This is a story about a boy who never grew up. Peter Pan was a lovely boy, who was clad in skeleton leaves and had all his first teeth.
Peter lived with the lost boys, Tootles, not the least brave but the most unfortunate of that gallant band,
Nibs, the gay and debonair, Slightly, who’s the most conceited of the boys, in Neverland.
At an evening came Peter to the house of Mrs. Darling, who was a lovely lady, and Mr. Darling, who can be a pain in the ass. The lived in England and they had 3 children: Wendy Moira Angela Darling, who was the oldest of the 3, John, who was the middest of them, and Michael, who’s very small. In the house works a well cleaning lady, called Lisa. They have also a dog, called Nana.
When Peter came, he lost his shadow and Mrs. Darling finds it. When Peter returns, Mrs. and Mr Darling are not at home, and he looks for his shadow. He starts crying, because he can’t get his shadow to stick on. Then Wendy woke and said: “Boy, why are you crying?”
Peter wants to take the children to Neverland, because he wants Wendy to be his mother. And Wendy wants her little brothers go with her. He introduces them to Tinker bell, a fairy, who really hates Wendy. Then they go to Neverland, but first he teaches them to fly.
Second to the right and then straight on till morning. (That’s the way to Neverland.) Peter and his lost boys are not the only ones who actually live there:
Pirates: Captain James Hook was Blackbeard’s Bo ‘sun. The worst of them all. He hated Peter Pan very much, because Peter had flung Hook’s arm to the crocodile. But that wasn’t the worst thing why he hated Peter, It was Peter’s cockiness.
A few members of Hook’s crew: the Italian, who was handsome. Bill Jukes, who had tattooed every inch of his body. And the Irish Bo ‘sun Smee, an oddy genial man who stabbed.
On the island lived also mermaids, who lived in the Mermaids lagoon, and Redskins and a lot of dangerous animals. On this evening when Peter returns, the chief forces of the island were disposed as follows.
The lost boys were out looking for Peter, the redskins were out looking for the pirates, the beasts were out looking for the redskins, and the Pirates were out looking for the lost boys.
But the lost boys, who finally had a mother now (Wendy), were just playing and making fun. Of course they had also many adventures.
They had made a house for Wendy, the little house, and self they were living in the home under the ground. They all were happy now.
But a few months later, Wendy wants to go home. After a conversation with the boys, they all want to go home, except Peter. It was the Night of Nights.
Wendy and the boys were leaving, when suddenly the pirates attack. It was a completely surprise! The pirates kidnapped the children and brought them to the pirate ship and Captain Hook went downwards to the home under the ground and founds Peter threw, who was sleeping. The appearance of Peter, when he slept, steeled Hook’s heart. So he didn’t kill Peter in his sleep, but what he well did, was poisoning Peter’s medicine. After this Hook went back to the pirate ship.
When Peter woke, Tinkerbell is telling him the whole story. So Peter goes to the pirate ship and suddenly he had a fabulous idea: he copies the tick of the crocodile! So he went further and further until he’s on the pirate ship. He rescued Wendy and the boys, but one thing barred the way, an oath, “Hook or me this time”. So Peter and Captain Hook started fighting. Seeing Peter slowly advancing upon him through the air with dagger poised, he sprang upon the bulwarks to cast himself into the sea. He didn’t know that the crocodile was waiting for him. Then the crocodile killed Captain James Hook.
After the killing of the pirates, they went home to England. Mr. and Mrs. Darling adopted the lost boys. In England Wendy sees Peter almost never again. They all were grown up. Nibs is going every day to an office, Michael is an engine-driver, Slightly married a lady of title, and so he became a lord. You see that that judge in a wig coming out at the iron door? That used to be Tootles. The bearded man who doesn’t know any story to tell his children was once John. Mrs. Darling and Nana were dead. Mr. Darling was no longer fond of stairs. And Wendy was married and had a daughter, called Jane.
Years rolled on again, when Wendy is sitting with Jane in the nursery were she used to sleep as a little girl as well, when she answered when Jane asks about Peter Pan. Wendy tells her all about it, since the first words (”Boy, why are you crying?”) till her return home to England.
Then at one night came the tragedy. It was the spring of the year, and the story had been told for the night; Jane was now asleep in her bed. Wendy was sitting on the floor, when Peter came in through the window. He is shocked, because he sees Wendy is grown up. Wendy leaves the room to think, when Jane awake. When Wendy returned, they were just leaving. Wendy cried: “No, no”. But Jane said: “It’s just for the spring-cleaning time………
Now Jane is a common grown-up with a daughter called Margaret; and every spring-cleaning time, except when he forgets, Peter comes to Margaret and takes her to Neverland. When Margaret grows up, she will have a daughter, who
Is to be Peter’s mother in turn; and thus it will go on, so long as children are gay and innocent and heartless.
