George is a boy who lives on a farm. He got an old and grumpy grandma. I like him because he is a smart boy with a lot of fantasy.
George`s grandma is an old, slim, mean and grumpy woman.
Summary of the book
George is a boy who lives on a farm, far away from the big city. He lives there with his father, mother and his old, grumpy grandma. Once on a Sunday morning, George was alone with his grandma. She was grumpy and mean to him. His grandma needed a medicine every evening a spoonful.
After a while George didn¡¦t liked it anymore. It was almost time for his grandma¡¦s medicine. So he was thinking how he could make the medicine that good, that his grandma would be nice.
He took a enormous saucepan and searched in all the rooms for boxes with powders and bottles with liquids and mixed them all together. The marvellouse medicine supposed to be brown because the real medicine was brown. But at the end Georges marvellouse medicine was blue. So he stirred a bottle of brown paint in it.Then he gave his grandma a spoonfulllll of it. But what happened next, no one would ever believe it/that.
His grandma was growing and growing and she didn¡¦t stop untill she was as big as the house. George couldn¡¦t believe what he saw. His tiny, old, grumpy grandma became a long, slim old woman. When his mom and dad arrived, they were in shock. When George told them the whole story, his dad became enthusiastic.
He wanted to give all the animals a spoonfulll to let them grow. So nobody would ever be hungry.
George and his father went with the big saucepan to all the animals.
George¡¦s father, mr. Kranky, wanted to sell the ¡¥medicine¡¦. When he got that idea George just gave the last spoon to an animal. Mr. Kranky asked George what the medicine was made of, but George didn¡¦t knew it anymore. The went to alle the rooms to search for empty boxes and bottles of the things he used. When George had noticed them all, mr. Kranky went to the shops to buy all the thing they would need.
When mr. Kranky and George mixed it all up and gave it to a chicken, the result was different. The chicken got a very long neck, but the rest of the chickens body didn`t grow.
George remembered that he had also had put someting else in the medicine. But again it was wrong. This happended again and the last time Goerge made a medicine, there was only one chicken left.
So George gave the chicken some droplets out of a teacup of the medicine. Instead of growing, the chicken shrank to the sice of a sigret.
George still hold the cup with the brown medicine in his hand. Grandma thought is was a cup of tea and so she drank the drank what was in the cup. And so she shrank too. But she shrank further than the chicken. It was even so worse that grandma disappeared....
My opinion
I didn`t like the book very much, because I don`t like books with that much unrealistic things.
I prefer books like the ones from Carry Slee. That are realistic books.
But some times I like to read an unrealistic book. I like Harry Potter very much. And that`s also an onreal book.
