On a trip to the maldives, I realized how diverse out cultures are. I focused on the colors of the buildings and houses, and how beautiful and unique they were. I felt really connected to this because I was going through a hard time in my life and the simplicity of the images made everything seem so much simpler. A country so poor had so much beauty, and the families on the island were so happy, this is when i realized beauty and happiness comes from within and not from tangible things.
